i know i know, i should stop flipping things around. makes everyone confused. i just couldn't not share photos, and my new intermediary site design wasn't tied into my content management system whatsoever. which meant no new photos. so for now, we're back to where we started before.

i saw a documentary on tv about stax records (respect yourself: the stax records story). i don't watch much tv, but it was a captivating story. it also has some jaw droppingly unbelievable concert footage! i fell in love with otis redding all over again for the very first time.

i'm such a sucker for party photos, dancing photos, and photos where people seem pretty content. so the reception is like my version of photography's golden hour.
the wedding was filmed by motoko, the videographer over at love in progress. she was very easy cheesy going and fun to interact with. she must also be a saint, because as much as i tried to stay out of her camera angles, i swear i must've been in at least half of them. maybe she's got some funky editing skills.
by the by, the dancing at their wedding was top notch and funkta-fied. not only can sarah & chopper cut a mean rug, their families are powerhouses on the floor, and their friends are dance circle mavens. they're like cluster bombs of groove. i know, sounds violent doesn't it? sometimes that's the groove..

even though sarah & chopper were blessed with sunshine on their winter wedding day, it was still amazingly chilly out. i dunno how sarah managed the formal shots outside for as long as she did. wait a second, i know how. she's a tough cookie! that's right.
sarah surprised chopper with an old-style checkered cab. it was the same one used in "when harry met sally", which is only a stone's throw from "when sarah met chopper" (a funny story in itself). all i can say is, "aroooogah!"

sarah has an amazingly beautiful face, which makes photographing her quite easy. makeup by sally duvall and hair by stacy pitt, who both did a top notch job. they're both true artists with vision, passion, and an eye for detail. i was very impressed with their work and would definitely recommend their services in a heartbeat.

a few hours into our drive to columbus, we pulled over. exhausted, x passed out for a while. having napped earlier, i watched as the gloom of the night gave way to purple tentacled hues of the morning. rays of sunshine slowly crept over the hills, like fingers stroking skin.
