this, ladies and gentlemen, is the beginning of my musical career.
while it may not look like much (or to be honest, it actually looks like a lot of too much), those are digitally transcribed notes based off of an audio recording (me and a piano in chicago a few weeks back). it's not perfect by any stretch of the imagination, but it does save some amount of tedium in manually recreating my composition in a digital format. freakin' amazing!
now i just have to clean it up, add vocals, some strings, a bumpin' groove, and i should have a hit single in no time. kanye, here i come!

sometimes things just get all messed up, even though they were working perfectly fine just a few days ago. and i didn't even change anything! who knows, internet trolls or sun flares or bad juju. for some reason, my image management system is wonky right now, so i've gotta make adjustments through my php/sql backend. at least i know how to navigate it, so i'm lucky in that sense. it'll just take ten times longer to get my galleries up. i'm gonna cross my fingers and hope that those trolls return things to the way they were after they're done. in a few days? hopefully? i hate wading through code that i wrote years ago. query strings and arrays and functions are sooo... exhausting.
