os gemeos and others to paint kelburn castle in scotland

if you were to ask me who my favorite street artist is, i would without a second's hesitation wax poetic about os gemeos ("the twins" from brasil). more than banksy, more than swoon, revs, shephard fairey, more even than the amazing up-and-comer blu (who are all doing amazing work, don't get me wrong), i feel os gemeos are an unstoppable tag team of magical mural mystery. their art surpasses all boundaries of what people normally view as street or graffiti art. just take a look at their amazing murals and you'll see for yourself.
so i was happy to hear via wooster collective that they and a handful of other badass muralists will have an opportunity to paint on kelburn castle next month. what a crazy conjunction of old and new worlds, rural and urban mentalities, high brow and low society. i can't wait to see what happens.

celebrating steph's birthday

happy birthday steph! 16 is always a big one! you've still got such a long way to go.. and by the way, why is yellow such bitches? (additional photography by sherwin, michael, danielle, melissa, and others)
speaking of birthdays, life magical is about to turn a year old next month. wow, hard to believe it's only been a year. there's powerful energy floating through life at this time, with a lot of deaths (literal and figurative) and new beginnings surfacing. pretty mind blowing and heart aching, but embrace it all and it'll be okay. experience a death recently? tell me about it.
speaking of deaths, domain registration for my previous website will be expiring next month and i'm choosing not to renew it (see, lots of death right now!). if you haven't already, take a minute to check out the roots of minwin before this disappears forever. see the creativity that i used to indulge in before i decided to pursue life magical. be aware that some images may already be missing, as i've had to clear storage space over the last few months for the monstrosity that is this website.
