spot scouting for friday's wedding in battery park
gorgeous and amazing don't even begin to describe the potential and possibilities for photos in manhattan's battery park, located at the southern tip of the island. there's something about the inherent beauty of the park, the towering skyscrapers nearby, the flowing river with its gently lapping waves, and of course lady liberty herself in the distance which evokes an air of classic romanticism.
the great weather is still holding strong, with a forecast of 63 degrees and sunny for friday. leslie & oliver should be thrilled. technically conditions will be tough, as most people will want to be photographed with the water (and the statue of liberty) behind them. as it is though, the sun will be setting beyond the river, which along with its reflection off the water's surface, will create some harsh backlighting. lighting and exposure will have to be carefully considered.
