new york to southern california. santa ana to san diego. it was straight home from ny comic con to pack my bags. another few hours drive to philly, where i could barely keep my eyes open. hopped the flight to cali, with a layover in atlanta. i barely noticed as i climbed into business class. a few minutes into the flight, i woke up when the attendant tapped me on the shoulder and asked me, "omelette or quesedilla"? it'd been like forever since i'd had plane food, and the thought seemed appetizing (no really). i made a quick mental calculation, thought better of it and shrugged off breakfast, then fell into the graceful arms of sleep. a diet like no other. i awoke ten minutes before landing and managed to catch some photos.
it was going to be a little tight making the drive from santa ana to san diego for the iapp convention, but i needed to pick up supplies. otherwise, i would have flown directly into san diego. fortunately, the spirits were on my side and i got to the manchester grand hyatt with 30 minutess to spare. arriving in the vendor's hall, i broke out the light panel, my photo printers, and a little bit of life magical. the next three days sailed by beautifully.
