to chicago
the drive from philly to chicago is full of cows, corn, and country music. every half hour or so through pennsylvania, you'll pass by some stretch of land where the smell makes your mouth pucker and your nose go sour. this drive was especially hard, as i had come down with the flu and was sweating up a storm for the entirety of the ride.
for some reason i thought it was only going to be an eight hour drive, but then a few hours in, i remembered from last time that it was actually fourteen hours. yikes! it actually wasn't so bad until hour twelve hit and my head started to nod. i gave in, popped a red bull and limped through the last two hours.
we finally made it to the hotel, grabbed three hours of rest, woke up and got going with setup for the convention. after setup was done for the day, i came back to the hotel and immediately crashed. still lots of work to catch up on, but i need to rest.
